Really? If true, shocking.

Having said that bit would be difficult to pin anything on Shitgibbon as both he and the NRA have top lawyers who will sue the arse off anyone who dares to go there. Plus, Russia don't seem to give a f**k either.

I bet if you followed the money, you would find a whole lot more dirt.

The NRA money is fact. All campaign contributions must be declared which is why the payment to the porn star made by his lawyer is causing an issue. Wouldn’t it be great if the thing that gets him is fiddling the money to cover up his fiddling with brass!

Don't think that's accurate.

The lawyer has assumed the payment and not receiving pay back. All out of his own pocket.

All that's left is conjecture and a 'signed' NDA, which neither party are speaking of.

Therefore, not classed as a 'contribution'.

Surely an NDA means nothing if Muller comes knocking?

On a slight (but related) diversion, it seems Progressive Democrats are finally making some headway into American politics.

Bernie Sanders may have the first high profile politician to decline money from big corporations, but now there are 5 big name Dems following suit.

The new 'former establishment' politicians know that progressive thinking is on the march, convincing people not to vote for candidates that are influenced by big donor money (thus we have seen many republicans retire/ lose office in some mid terms) and those 'newly progressive' politicians have decided to jump on the bandwagon or face coming up against a Progressive Democrat candidate challenging for their seat.

So, maybe in the not-too-distant-future, we WILL see corporations like the NRA lose influence in congress and, thus, getting money out of politics which has been a BIG progressive drive in the last couple of years.

Hopefully, this will see (as 'Citizen Smith' used to say) "Power to the People"!!
Would love to see this happen. Sadly money talks and these progressives will be demonised by CNN/MSNBC. They need to look at using social media that groups used to promote Labour in our last election.

Great day to bury bad news.....

President Trump’s inaugural committee paid $26 million for event production services to a firm connected to a friend of first lady Melania Trump, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who serves as a volunteer adviser in the East Wing, according to officials and newly released tax filings.

The firm passed along the vast majority of the funds — $24 million — to other vendors who provided entertainment, staffing and other services, according to a committee document detailing the spending. Wolkoff, who employed about a dozen staff members for the event, retained $1.62 million for consulting and executive production, according to a person familiar with the arrangement.

The payments that flowed to Wolkoff represented a quarter of the $104 million spent by the inaugural committee, a nonprofit group that raised $107 million from wealthy donors and corporations to celebrate Trump’s inauguration.
