This clear and obvious thing is bollocks really, the ref should be able to view any close decisions when a goal is involved like he did this one and came up with the correct decision as you can clearly see he was offside and the goal shouldn't stand, bravo the system worked.

I thought they could and that's why it was used.

With goals, it's either in or not. No matter how small the margin, it's either a goal or not. No room for subjective debate.

Offsides should be treated the same.

The offside rule wasn't introduced to help defenders stand in a line with their hands up.
