Although a large number of fans went on the pitch in celebratory mood another significant number went on with the intention of goading City players and fans.
With a few minutes to go its usual to see a line of stewards in front of the crowd,particularly the away fans but there was no one around.
The players safety was at risk and this should be the main concern. Its good to see Gordon Taylor earn his £2.2 million salary...... and the PFA come out and state how dangerous these situations can be for players and support Sergio..............oh no Taylor or the PFA have said nothing about protection for their members.

Had wigan fans not invaded the pitch nothing would have happened with city fans or aguero. Had wigan fans invaded the pitch and celebrated within, there would not have been trouble with city fans and ageuro.. But a fan grabbing aguero when he is allowed on the pitch but the fan was not supposed to be there under the terms and conditions of his purchased ticket ???
Fans on the pitch pulling pants down and throwing bottles at city fans as they where leaving peacefully ???
Fine Wigan and next game behind closed doors for not being in control of their fans that almost lead to a full on riot.
We don't ban all clubs in this way for a pitch invasion they just get a fine, but last night not being in control due to lack of stewards and police we nearly had a riot situation.
Had city fans reacted in the same way as the wigan fans that ran to the away end the incident would have been far worse.

It's actually fuckin embarrassing the replies to that tweet. You would think it's a normal occurrnce for thousands of fans to stand in the pitch in front of the away fans and road them with no police or stewards in sight. Pathetic.
Most of their games are behind closed doors anyway.
Not all the fans were dicks let's remember that. The ones I know who go every week have been able to discuss the game since not gloat. Some were even trying to shake city players hands.
I imagine the ones causing trouble hasn't been before this season.

It wigan...a fucking rugby town with the pitch invaders causing trouble showing a mentality of imbeciles. The majority of those wankers last night who ran onto the pitch and started taunting our away fans and had a pop at Sergio are of the same ilk as Vicky Pollard.
