Sergio pitch incident at end of game

I saw the bottle too. One of their players had run a long way to retrieve the ball down by the corner flag and a bottle came out of our end. It was quite a bit away from play and wouldn't have been seen by the commentators or cameras.
Their keeper to waste time made a great play about walking to it and holding it up and Ferny grabbed it and chucked it away and told him to get on with it.

Would you care to show me where I commented on 1999 ??
Kevin Parker witnessed a bottle being thrown by a City fan at a Wigan player on Monday.

Go back to where you inserted quotes from feedmemphenzaandhewillscore or whatever his extremely long name is. He was mentioning the play off final from 1999 that's where the confusion comes from.

I know we have idiots amongst our lot as well but on the whole I thought the majority were pretty restrained facing that fiasco on Monday night.

What was the extreme provocation? One bloke wiggling his fat gut? Kids acting hard? No excuse for criminal behaviour on either side.

I was there so I can put some context to this. The Wigan fans started throwing things at the City fans as they stood/danced in front of the City fans, it was only then that things got thrown back and it escalated. On another note, City fans are having a go at the stewards, I saw stewards restraining Wigan dicks and having to fight with them, some perhaps stupidly then escorted them away behind the stands, I say stupidly because that left the few that were left to try and fend more idiots off. I think they quickly saw sense, there was not enough of them and it was safer to just stand there. This is quite an important issue. Wigan thought they would lose and that their fans would go home after 80 minutes so they put a bare minimum on to save money. How is that safe ?

Cheers that's how I saw it on the box and probably more from the videos our fan's posted. A few stewards did try and stop them but they were hopelessly outnumbered. I agree they probably thought it would be a straightforward win for us, but once they scored with ten minutes to go whoever was in charge should have started to mobilise the police to our end. Forget the pitch invasion no matter how many stewards you have on the perimeter if thousands rush them they are on the pitch, the priority should have been separating the two sets of supporters adequately.

Surprised he could see it from his hospitality seat.

I was told tonight by a very reliable source, that a Wigan player whilst taking a corner had a bottle thrown at him by a City fan and likewise when the Wigan fans came down to the City end bottles were also thrown.
Fooking idiots whoever they were.
There’ll be plenty of them fighting with each other on Sunday and too pissed to see any of the game. Just wish they’d go and watch the football or, if they don’t want to, just stay away.
