Trolling in political threads: please read

@Ric was thinking, it hurt, Can we put up a couple of political threads but put them under specific topics, newsnight, bbcqt, PMQ's. That way we discuss the topics on discussion and it should hopefully cut down a lot of the crap where we all tend to go off topic.

Definitely think that it’s worth trialling separate topics. As mentioned, I don’t think the general politics thread was working. It makes sense to have separate threads, so that genuine discussions can take place without some of the daft “whataboutery” that has plagued previous threads.

Yep, the majority on Blue Moon are a thoroughly nasty piece of work.

The jibes and accusations of delusion go back and forth between Red Cafe and RAWK but their fans rarely stoop to disgusting levels.

No comparison as to who is the better fan community. Also says a lot about the scum nature of the moderators on Blue Moon as to how they allow so much bile and nastiness to pass.

I don't know about scum nature, but there's no getting away from the fact that RedCafe and RAWK, despite their deluded clientele, are, when you look at them dispassionately, a lot more hospitable and less aggressive sites than Bluemoon, they are simply just better forums than this one.

Happily, I can't say the same for their clubs.

Redcafe is populated by a load of out of town glory hunters, who wouldn't be able to find Greater Manchester, let alone Old Trafford even if you gave them a map. They haven't a clue about what a local rivalry entails, and therefore are more likely to be placid & hospitable, so you might have a point with that one.

They even restrict what publications & media can be repeated and be used/referenced on there. They allow no criticism of their players & manager (only encouragement & backing), and if you go against the allowed right/group think you will not last long on there.

Are you saying the local rivalry between City and Utd, and more importantly its dynamic these last 30 odd years, excuses the excesses in here? Maybe, maybe not, problem with that is if you're right and you might be, it bleeds in to everything else and what does that mean for the forum?

We are a smaller fan base than Utd and Liverpool, there's no getting away from it. We've become a big club on the field fast and in reality that's what matters, but everything else takes time to catch up, that includes social media and fan forums like this. We've grown so rapidly as a club it has resulted, quite reasonably, in forums like Bluemoon struggling to catch up, this fan forum is experiencing teething problems, problems that stem directly from the dramatic growth of MCFC and it effects all of us, posters and moderators alike.

As for RAWK not allowing any dissenting voices, that's a bold statement, I await your proof with interest.

I personally think its great to see the m9ds allow so much to be posted and it shows the trust they put in their posters.
It also mean we are basically free to discuss what we want. One of the main reasons i go full out 'Anti War' mode.
RAWK though aren't probably talking about those on the left though @The perfect fumble cos theyre all jobless socialists haha.
