So many to replace yet rebuilding for years already. This is what happens when your plan is no plan.

The best part is Fellaini and Carrick leave for nothing and Shaw and Darmian have very little market value. They can spend but the risk is that if you buy 4+ first team players in one window you risk team balance. Milan did this and didn’t really get going until January. If Pogba or Sanchez leave they lose big money and have to replace them. If Rashford or Martial leave they will get good fees but then have to convince an attacker playing to set on the bench of a bus parking team.

They have over achieved this season. Playing shit football with De Gea saving them. I don’t see really how they can do any better next season. Do they buy more superstars that will further divide the dressing room? Surely young players won’t go play under the gouger because he does nothing for them. So he buys older players for “instant success.” I’m interested to see their transfer business this summer. Even if they spend £200m that is only 4 good players or two superstars. If they make too many changes they will do a Milan.

Can’t wait. What ever they do in the market it won’t be good.

good in it.. yet they will do enough to appease there deluded masses who will flock to the superstore to buy the kits with the next G best name on in the summer then come winter will be blaming it all on city’s spending or some other reason ..
Think there is s plan there but not one of a winning formula trophy wise, more of a formula to keep the masses spending. Maybe a Zlatan here and there is worth more to them then a trophy as it keeps the deluded spending in the hope of something .. got to give it to them that’s some position to be in.
Can’t be substanable long term and once the 90 generation has gone and there die hard kids then they should be struggling to replace them, it’s a long arse weight but I’m 46 and only just seeing our good times so guess a few years weight to put the icing on the cake with there proper demise will b worth it... my 12 year old doesn’t even know he is born yet.. seriously no us as a great team will be iced off with them falling our proper hopefully

That's actually quite an amusing thought: Mourinho hates him.

I picture Pogba playing for us, & the comments he would get on here as a City player, when he skins two players in centre mid, does a little pirouette & passes it sideways straight to the oppo winger, & then imagine Mourinho, who paid 100 mil for him, feeling EXACTLY like that, every time he watches him play. But he has to be his manager & not admit that he actually wants to kill him, all the time & really really gets annoyed every time the manager picks him, but he's the manager & has to pick him regularly, because he paid 100 mil for him.
He's Hee. Like that little analogy

Classic from the Caf on today's pre-match thread;

Went clicking on cricfree to see who is broadcasting it, and realised Spurs are playing some other team:

Today 17:15 FA Cup Maidstone United vs Tottenham Hotspur HD+
BBC One Live Streaming | BBC One

Soo, when is our game?
And, wth is Maidstone United?

Followed by:

isn't that the club we got Smalling from?

You mean the club that Fulham got Smalling from.

But you surely cannot believe that the fucking show pony is a) a top player and b) is worth the " going rate " after the shite performances he has put in whilst at the rags ?

Any team paying that kind of money surely need investigating on the grounds of gross incompetence, never mind FFP .

The Pisscan was right in getting rid in the first place, and Woodward has proved how fucking useless he really is for buying Pogba and Sanchez for stupid money. Only the rags could be this stupid.
Exactly.
So the Rags put a 'For sale, the superstar Paul Pogba, a snip at £140 million.' notice out, can you see the
worlds top clubs fighting amongst themselves to get the chequebooks out?
No?
Me neither, it just wouldn't happen, unless every Financial Director suddenly develops dementia or gets sectioned.

When you say the starting price is £150 mil upwards how many have gone for that ?
Coutino? Kane when he goes. Our own Kev. More money in football circulation means price inflation. That’s basic economics. If they sell him they will more than make their money back.

Edit and by how many clubs ?
You watch the next couple of transfer windows. Coutino isn’t one of the world’s top players and he went for ridiculous money. Top players are going to go for stunning fees and as the saying goes, a rising tide floats all boats. That’s how price inflation works. We saw prices go from thirty mill to fifty mill for players like Stones in one season. No one now blinks at paying fifty or sixty mill for a promising defender. This inflation happens whenever money flows in.

The game is getting richer and richer and that is reflected in transfer fees. That’s why players like Pogba, who has been a bit of a flop but who was practically a world record fee, will still go for insane money. The fee will be way below the current world fee and that is a fall in relative value.

The value of anything, including footballers is relative not absolute, to purchasing power and that’s why it would be no surprise if some mega rich club paid an insane fee for him. Especially as one bad season at a shit club, playing shit football under a shit manager does not make him a bad player. Some manager at a top club is going to want him badly enough to pay a stupid fee.
