People getting to hung up on how good this guy is defensively. He is not as mobile or as good at breaking up play as dinho but in games where we are going to play against a high press this guy is much superior, he is able to turn out into space and more comfortable playing out. Would be a great addition especially in European games.

Napoli play a similar way to us, should be able to hit the ground running. Knowing how much Pep likes Napoli and Sarri, that's probably a big reason why we've gone for him over other targets who play differently.

Gundogan is a great midfielder when he`s in form, and so is Jorginho

He is not Gundogan. Not remotely. Don't know how people got that idea.

Jorginho is a pure deep lying playmaker, in the mould of xabi Alonso or Barry if you will. Fabulous on the ball, great long passing ability, incredibly press resistant and cool under pressure. Also a good defender and while he may not be as mobile as dinho, he has intelligence to be in the right position. Had a feeling pep would go for a player like this, jorginho is currently better and more suited to the premier league than weigl IMO.

Yaya hardly played a role this season.

People keep saying this. Yet all season we've been worried about Dinho burning out as Yaya hasn't been trusted to fill in. Dinho and Silva are both 33 next season and will have to have their game time reduced, if we don't get in a quality player to take Yaya's spot we're going to look extremely thin in midfield.

Perfect for our midfield. As others have said, the perfect player to pick up possession from the CBs against high press sides.

We've had major problems working our way out against Liverpool in both games at Anfield this season because Fernandinho's main weakness is receiving the ball under pressure and picking the right pass. Jorginho is probably top 3 in the world in his position at doing just that.

Fabinho would bring much of the same problems as Fernandinho already does when trying to beat the press. Jorginho is a different option with different attributes.
