PFA nominations are out

Salah is going to break the all time record for most goals in a season, to say he doesn’t deserve it is quite frankly laughable. Some need to take their tinted specs off. Not saying KDB didn’t deserve it either, either were worthy winners.
Knew you would say that lol

Is this the usual Liverpool / rag definition of all time?

In a 38 game season. Honestly it’s a crime on here to give credit to opposition players. The moan police moan when our players don’t get the credit but give zero themselves to other teams players.

Aye, he probably scored the extra 27 goals in that one extra game he had.

Nobody's refusing to give credit to Salah, it's just that we think that De Bruyne should win it. I said it well before the vote, if a team has won the league by close to 20 points, then the POTS has to come from that team (unless Liverpool win the CL, in which case fair enough - which is why it's stupid to vote now). Especially when one player from that team was man of the match in about half of the games. As others have pointed out, Salah will probably break a PL record on goals, but City will break every other record and KDB has been the best player in the team by some distance. It's not just an ordinary title win. Almost every pundit has said that it's the best football they've ever seen in the Premier League. But that of course is the difference between judging based on stats, and judging based on watching the game.

The media narrative was that it had to be Salah "because goals are the most important thing", it's that sentiment that we disagree with.

Nobody can argue Salah hasn't had a fantastic season and the nomination was a given but it was disappointing the way the media carefully guided everyone into making only one conclusion which is not on really.

Is it only about goals?
Then why have the golden boot? Answer me that wise guys! ;)
Is it still a team game?
Who's not only been the best team this season by a country mile but the team breaking all time English records this season?... meaning it's possibly the best season any team in the English topflight has ever had!
Which player in that team has given key performances in most of the big games?
Who's got the most assists in the league?
With 6 more assists from 4 remaining games he could break the league record for most assists in a season, would you bet against him achieving that?

Fair play to Salah if it wasn't De Bruyne it had to be him really but there were so many more narratives that the media(who know they can influence opinion... it's their job) just didn't bother entertaining because they didn't want a City player to get it whenever it was mentioned, it was as if they stuck to a script. Maybe Salah would have won it without their influence but the fact is it was definitely there so it can't be ignored and just like the bent refs we've had to deal with we're left saying "we'll never really know how things would have turned out without *x-scenario*".

This team's players needs recognition right now not in 3 years time as some pundits are trying to say, all we've had is some players finally get into the team of the year which simply isn't enough as that should have happened years ago. Top flight English football hasn't seen a team blow everyone else away in a season in just about every way that matters very often at all and they've never seen a team repeat this kind of dominance, so hopefully we do the same or better next season and they can start giving these fantastic players their dues. Winning it back to back like United or others have done and winning it back to back in the fashion we have this season would be worlds apart.
