City purchase factory?

I wonder in the future, once we have won a few trophies, do you think we could say we had made some Factory Records ?

Sorry, sometimes I just can't help it.

Just to give you an idea of the scale that these guys work on, this is Sports City in Dubai:

To understand the way they operate you have to think very, very big. Much bigger than would previoulsy have been thought possible.

When completed in 2011, Dubai Sports City will include:
a 60k multi-purpose stadium
a 25k cricket stadium
a 10k indoor arena
a 5k hockey stadium
an 18-hole Ernie Els golf course
an Olympic-sized swimming pool
an autodrome
indoor and outdoor karting tacks
a state-of-the art sports medicine and rehabilitation centre
a 25,000 sq ft high performance centre (fitness, gyms, etc)
international academies and training facilities for hockey, golf, football, rugby, cricket, tennis and swimming
a hospital
several international schools
thousands of residential units in villas and apartment towers
a shopping mall (300 outlets + hypermarket)

Not if Hydra Properties are doing it... cos it'll look like this!

Portsmouths ground looks worse everytime i see it....

Free from soccer results, I think the close-season has given me the opportunity to look at the 'big picture.'

I really do believe that ADUG have a very different philosophy than we've previously experienced. There is no constraint on finances, no reliance on revenue from Champions League and no barriers to how far we can go.

I've only just begun to realise how far we've fallen behind other clubs on the playing field, yet in many ways we are so far ahead in overall development. I can see the likes of Portsmouth also enjoying some improvement with backing from their new owners.

Makes me proud to be a City fan. Ten years ago - the play-off final. Ten years from now - ???

Apparently the council are looking to build a large leisure development to replace their casino. Obviously they want ADUG to pay for it. I heard 3 hotels, extreme sports arena, cinemas, theatres (yes plural), bars, shops, tram stop, multi story car park etc etc. Originally a theme park was also mentioned. Its going to be HUGE apparently. I thought it was on the land right next to the stadium where the casino was going to be though but maybe not?....

They've just signed some geezer called Frankenstein from Timisoara FC. He's gonna put together some academy prospects that will be shoe-horned into the first team come their sixteenth birthday! They need a 'factory'!
