Whistle last night?

It looked from up in 323 that he wasn't waving his hands for play on, but he had given a free kick!
From EL3 it looked like he was doing what all refs do when signalling play on. Seeing as nobody has agreed on the whistle yet we may as well disagree with this one as well :-)

Should Ramos be allowed to do this then? If it causes obvious confusion to the opposing team because they think it's the referee?

I could certainly hear it in the family stand. The Sagna situation was odd, as it looked like a free kick which, together with the crowd whistle, prompted him to pick the ball up!

Happily it didn't cost us but something as simple as a fan bringing a whistle to a game can impact what's on the pitch quite easily.

I was in 230 close to the Sagna handball. There was definitely a whistle to which he reacted. It was a little "thinner" than the refs. The fact that it was heard in different parts of the ground suggests it came from a player. Ramos obviously the culprit.
