    Jeremie Frimpong

If we were to re-sign Frimpong, which I don’t believe we will, he wouldn’t be physically strong enough to oust Walker or Akanji at right-back, and if played on the wing, he wouldn’t have the versatility to play on either side of the pitch. I think Savio would be a more appropriate option...

Does Sterling drop to a Brentford/ Palace level next or does he go straight to QPR?

For pity's sake, how did we ever lose 4 points to Chelsea?

This game has had me thinking back to when Pochettino had Spurs going for the League in 2016 and then they went to Hiddink's Chelsea and drew in a brawl of a game. Chelsea were determined Spurs were not going to win. His Spurs looked soft that night and his Chelsea look even more powderpuff now.

Not a one-man team by any means, but one struggles to see how Arsenal would cope if Odegaard had a lengthy injury.

Madueke has the beating of Tomiyasu, just needs to get across him in the box and give the referee a decision to make.

That referee's heat map must be a red dot in a field of green; portly perambulator.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

At half-time at Palace, when the players were loitering in the tunnel, I was struck by the fact that Bernardo was deliberately going around the youngsters, Lewis, Bobb, and Alvarez, and giving them specific guidance and encouragement; they were all playing toward the right side of the pitch. He...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

It took an idiot like me one minute to see that the same twit posted on Aug 9 2022 that Bernardo had agreed to join Barcelona! Why bother giving the issuers of such puerile nonsense the coverage they crave?

    Lucas Paquetá

I’m quietly confident that none of the mainstays will leave this summer, partly because I think they appreciate that they still have much to give at the top level and partly because I sense they have unfinished business. I think the loss in the Champions League was particularly painful for these...

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

There is comparison in the fact that they both played on the flank, not inside, and both learned to dictate play by deciding when to attack the fullback and when to rotate. Neither style of play is passive.

    Lucas Paquetá

We’re in the position we’re in because we don’t panic and because we make incremental changes. It was only the allegations that prevented us landing Paqueta, so assuming they’re dropped, he’ll automatically add a bit of muscle and guile to midfield, and if we sign Neves, we sign the energy and...

I read that every summer and it seldom is. There'll be the usual flotsam and jetsam again, but I expect the main players to remain and be supplemented by 2-3 solid but unspectacular additions. Too many good players have had under-par seasons- but they're too good not to come back, and 6 young...
