    Women's Team - 2021/22

Three comments to make about that first half. Our goalie is useless, a cardboard cut out would be an improvement. Our centre forward White is pathetic in a City shirt, can't believe its the same person who got a ton full of goals for England. And lastly, the refereeing in this league is useless...

Why didn't you go to the Leipzig game?

Didn't go, even though I am on the Cup schemes. Had an email from City thanking me for buying a ticket, money had left my bank, but my mobile season ticket was stating that Southampton was the next match. A day before the match v Leipzig was to take place, I decided that to embark on a 200 mile...

City U18 - Champions of PL North (1-0 win at Burnley)

Spot on, our left side was particularly impressive. Watching Borges made me think, how would he fare if Mendy was the opponent? I know the answer but I'm not one to slag off City players.

Earliest City match attended by a forum member

First match Rags v City 1956, and we got beat. But that didn't put me off.

    Man City TV Launched

My view is totally opposite to this. I bought a Firestick cost £40, have subscribed to City TV paying £2 per month and it does not provide me with any benefit. I thought it would show EDS matches, youth team games, women's games, but so far nothing. I can't even find a recording of Vinnies...

Do you remember the first City game you ever attended.

1956 v Rags at OT, lost 2-0 1957 v Newcastle at Maine Road FAC 3rd round replay, lost 5-4 after extra time. Started off as a jinx, it did get better, then it got worse, but I stuck with it, and am now privileged to see the best ever.

    FA Cup Final - 18/05 1700hrs

And my last train from Paddington leaves at 7:45pm, which at a push is doable if there is no extra time/penalties. But that would be like reading a thrilling book and finding the last page missing. Both FA and rail companies are total t**ts

This was an extract from the booklet of the auction held at Maine Road, when all the items were auctioned off.

Tommy Doyle | On loan at Wolves

Spot on, the dirty Irishman fouled and broke Glyn Pardoes leg, I was there and saw it.

David Silva signs one year contract extension(p33)

I never saw Billy Meredith or Peter Doherty play, so it would be difficult to pick out our greatest player ever. But what I can say is since the mid 1950's when I started to watch City, Spanish Dave has been the best player I have seen wearing a City shirt. Signing an extension to his contract...

    Turnstile at Maine Rd

Looked in the catalogue for the sale at Maine Road in July 2003. There were 41 turnstiles for sale, and 2 not in the sale. They described 8 as previously from Hyde Road ground. As well as the auction price there was an additional £140 removal cost. I bought a sign which came from the exterior...

    The Junior Blues.....

I was on Tameside commitee, I have just found in my junk box a letter from Richard Sutton, Chairman, reporting that after almost a year in office, the Junior Blues Club had growth exceeding all expectations. I recall that Roger Reade was the Secretary at that time, and he replaced Richard as...

    Barca away...

Has always been expensive at Barca. In 2014 price on my ticket was 93 euros, I paid £77. in 2015 price on my ticket was 99 euros, I paid £76.50 I suppose 108 euros for this match pays for Messi's pay rise!

Clattenburg, the FA & Adebayor - proof that the system is bent

Sergio's retrospective 3 match ban got me thinking about the incompetence of referee Mariner. Firstly he was looking at the Aguero incident, but claimed not to have seen it. Another incident took pace in front of the East stand. The ball went out of play and both sides were claiming the throw...

Your favourite county in England and Wales?

Herefordshire, its far away from the maddening crowd, home of some excellent real ales, and its only two and a half hours away from Manchester by train, to allow us City fans to see our team.

    50 years a Blue

What a lot of great memories from the older guys. I am proud to join you, my first visit to Maine Road being the infamous cup replay with Newcastle on 9th January 1957, which we lost 5-4. I've been fortunate to see City win the league 3 times, the FA Cup twice, and the League Cup 4 times. I...
