    Referees’ Performances 2018/19

Just because the ball strikes a player's arm in the box does not make it a penalty. It was not deliberate and a ref should be able to judge that. Unfortunately we have Muppets like Peter Walton officiating the game who've never kicked a ball in their life!

    Best/worst Man City own goals

I remember Dunney scoring a wicked half volley into our top corner from their corner kick against Newcastle in a 2-2 draw. I think Bianchi missed an empty net in the same game. Can't find it on YouTube though.

    First away game.

Oldham on the plastic pitch. Gary Megson scored the winner on his debut (I think).

    Georgi Kinkladze

A wasted talent for sure. I fear he may well have dwindled into obscurity whatever era he was born into. I base that on his interviews as well as his unfulfilled potential. I just don't get the feeling he had that desire to be the best he could be and was maybe not in love with the game and...

I think that sums it up quite accurately!

Ian Darke - Do You Rate Him?

Well that's just shown me up and made me feel old at the same time. I must admit that rule change had passed me by. I'd love to see a referee award an indirect free kick in the box for 'impeding the progress of an opponent without contact' though! Warnock and the all the other cloggers would...

Ian Darke - Do You Rate Him?

I'm still not entirely sure why the general media consensus is that Basel should have had a penalty. Obstruction in the penalty area is still an indirect free kick is it not?

    Danilo

I can't say I have seen Danilo, but I don't have the faith others seem to in maffeo. He's very ordinary.

    Alexis Sanchez

Some bizarre views on here suggesting we don't need Sanchez. There is no 'perfect world' scenario where our current forwards will be available and on form for the entire season. If he wants us and is attainable then signing him is a no-brainer.

Bloody hell, they look like some dodgey sunday league kits!

Strange reasons not to like somebody

People who say: "That's my bad." Bad what exactly? Bad English?

    Bernardo Silva

How can we turn down the possibility to find a player so similar to our own Silva? Even if Dave is still with us, it would be madness to not bring him to City. We miss Silva so much when he is out or playing injured. This takes the over reliance away from Dave and leaves us with a replacement...

At least we'll look like Manchester City again. Looks good.

    Happy 31st Birthday Dave!

A class act and a joy to watch. Such a humble guy. Doesn't get the recognition he deserves from the media. I'm just so glad he's a blue. Still makes us tick! Happy 31st Dave.

    Sergio Aguero - 2016/17 performances

Imagine if he actually started playing well! The guy is a proper goal scorer. We are seriously lucky to have him.

    Aleix Garcia - 2016/17 Performances

Good feet and positioning, but it was very noticeable how we weren't hounding and pressuring Swansea like we have in our other games this season. Angelinho looked lost in an unfamiliar position and Fernando isn't as mobile as Fernandinho, so it is hard to judge whether Garcia has the mobility...

    Nolito - 2016/17 performances

This is the point though isn't it. 'Raising hands', 'Making contact', 'Violent conduct'. I find the definitions of these very open to interpretation. Smith's hand was raised and made contact with Stirling's face. Judging the guy as a bit of a wind-up, I don't doubt he intended to leave his mark...

    Nolito - 2016/17 performances

This may have been mentioned, but what makes the decision more frustrating is that Smith gets away with shoving Stirling in the face not five minutes later and the ref tells Stirling to get up as if it didn't warrant going to ground. Maybe it didn't, but if what Nolito did is 'violent' then...
