    United Thread - 2023/24

Goldbridge celebrating the Hojlund penalty, shouting "the humiliation has been avoided", what a shameless prick. If it was any other team in their shoes, he'd tell them they shouldn't celebrate.

FA Cup Semi Final | Coventry City v United

I share your doubts, but United have also regressed since the last FA Cup. They were shite before, but they are even worse now.

FA Cup Semi Final | Coventry City v United

Caught Casemiro smiling to himself during Ten Fraud's pre-shootout teamtalk. Maybe he shot his penalty that way on purpose.

FA Cup Semi Final | Coventry City v United

Lol, nobody celebrated with Hojlund except Eriksen. Even the Rag players have some shame for stealing a win.

    Chelsea (N) | FA Cup SF | Post-Match Thread

Glad there's a set of fans in the league that finally echoes my sentiment. Else we'd have the Spurs fans and the media telling us constantly how he underperforms because he didn't get the funding. Poch is a good coach yes, but nowhere near the likes of Pep and Klopp as the media likes to imply.

    Chelsea (N) | FA Cup SF | Post-Match Thread

Fans tend to guess a manager's age based on when he made his name. IIRC, Poch started at Espanyol around the same time Pep started at Barca. Pep just made his name way faster, whereas most English fans only know of Poch around his Southampton days. Same goes for Ten Hag, who is a "young...

There's alot of fixation from 'neutrals' about Grealish's 'apparent handball', but I thought Caicedo was lucky to not at least see a double yellow. Some of his tackles were very cynical.

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2023/24

Not great for a large portion of the game, but we are throwing him onto the pitch straight after injury for 2 games back to back plus extra time against Madrid. He'd be forgiven if he is unfit and exhausted.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Another superb performance. This lad is just demolishing full backs, Gusto had to leave the pitch injured. He is really getting better. Doesn't turnover as much as before and looks more tuned-in as to when to take the ball past the defender.

    5 | John Stones - 2023/24

Seems ill. Didn't concentrate as well as he usually does, and looked winded before the 1st half even ended. Did he actually puked? Would be unfair to criticize him harshly if he was genuinely sick. Hopes he gets well soon, we really could use Johnny Boy for the title run-in.

Chelsea FA Cup s/f (N) | Man of the Match

Akanji was superb, especially in the 2nd half. A little indecisive in the final third for the 1st half, but was immense defensively after moving back into CB.

    5 | John Stones - 2023/24

He seemed off since returning from the last injury. I blame Southgate.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Tbf, Kovacic has been in multiple shootouts with Croatia, so it probably made sense then.

    31 | Ederson - 2023/24

The amount of pressure he probably faced for an obviously unconventional choice for penalties, and he took his well.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Doku gave Carvajal cramps on both legs.

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Madrid was quick to prevent him taking long shots. 1 goal against them and 2 similar ones in the league have caused Madrid to wise up. Solid overall.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

I actually thought he played okay, but Doku was the correct sub at that point of the game.

    Jude Bellingham

I remember back then, someone said he's already like this at Dortmund. He just fitted Madrid too well.

    20 | Bernardo Silva - 2023/24

Read somewhere, the Madrid keeper didn't have any study on Bernie's penalty taking, so it was left to guesswork. Unfortunately, Bernardo's penalty execution left alot to be desired. He did great outside of the shootout though.

    16 | Rodri - 2023/24

What's the reason for Spain's designated penalty taker to not take a pen? That was bewildering.
