It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

He’s got a lot of bulking up to do but he can become a great player. His technique and willingness to receive the ball under pressure stood out a mile at championship level. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

He was brilliant today. Did everything in his usual methodical style but it was progressive and incisive stuff. Lacked the finish at times but he’s pivotal to us when he’s in this form.

England v Belgium | Friendly | Match Thread

I don’t necessarily disagree with you but you look at Cristiano Ronaldo as an example. We all hated him for his arrogance but it served him well in the big moments especially in the Champions League for Madrid as he was always there stepping up to score. Not saying Bellinghams close to him in...

Bellingham’s the dogs bollocks and he knows it. Comes across as a dick but you need that attitude sometimes in football.

England v Brazil | Friendly | Match Thread

I’m no fan of Southgate and it was a dreadful match last night. But we were missing Saka, Kane, Shaw and Walker (for large parts) last night. They’re all key players for England and we’re bound to look a bit blunt without the record scorer - who whether you like him or not has been great for...

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

He’s lost a bit of confidence and form in the last month. Mad to see so many around me at the game turn on him yesterday and some of the comments on here writing him off. We all saw what he can do when he’s flying like at the start of the season. Give the young lad time, he has an abundance of...

    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2023/24

Incredible come back from the king. What a difference he made, I really hope he can stay fit now.

Special moment for the lad - delighted for him.

Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

You’d be mad to write us off at this stage but christ we have work to do. Some players really lacking in confidence at the minute - Alvarez and Gvardiol to name two. We’re not nasty enough either, Josko should be bringing Bailey down around half way as Doku should’ve done to Son on Sunday...

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

He’s absolutely brilliant. My new favourite player and he’s a joy to watch. What a signing!

Kalvin Phillips | On loan at West Ham

Lacks confidence and it shows. Hiding from receiving the ball and his pass selection wasn’t great either, you could see Kovacic getting frustrated with some of his choices. He’s just not good enough for us unfortunately, it’s plain to see.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

Looks an absolute top player in the making to me. So silky on the ball, with an engine and pace to burn. Very exciting signing.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis | On loan at Southampton

Will go on to have a good career this lad and probably pick up a few caps. Happy with that fee though, let’s hope Southampton get promoted!

    Cole Palmer

Frustrating as hell player who if he can put it all together will be a frightening prospect (and he’s young enough to do so). FWIW I don’t think he will ever reach them heights here and I would take the money if it close to 50M and lump it on Eze.

    Jeremy Doku

Had a bad feeling we could miss out on this one to Chelsea in recent days. Delighted its looking close now, he’s going to be quality for us.

Kalvin Phillips | On loan at West Ham

Waste of a squad place here if he’s never trusted to get a chance or a proper run in the team. Be happy for him to go to Liverpool to be honest as long as they pay a reasonable fee.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Just get Doku in the building and we’ll be ok with Foden or Grealish being able to play centrally. If Paqueta can then force the move before the window closes then even better. But it’s vital we don’t miss out on Doku.

Match Thread | Man City vs Sevilla - Super Cup (16/08/23)

Some players are quite clearly unsuited to inverting. Walker and Akanji are clearly two of those I don’t get why Pep would ever try them there but he has.

    Moisés Caicedo

So not only have they missed out on a top player, Southampton can now rinse them for Lavia and Klopp has been exposed as a massive hypocritical bellend. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch!

    Harry Kane

Bayern become CL contenders again with him upfront. It’s a no brainer transfer and perfectly prepares him for the Euro’s in Germany next summer. Winning trophies for club and country would mean way more than a goal record, he can’t bottle this move surely.
