PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That may be the case with the crap team Dyche has put together but Everton have spent c.$850m in the last ten years, hardly a pittance they would have us believe.

    Media thread 2022/23

As I am now living in Western Australia I have been listening to various podcasts as a poor substitute for football banter. At the risk of raising a lot heckles on here, I also read the Guardian, it's free on-line and keeps me up to date with the UK news. For weeks now on the podcast the Irish...

That would be 2 employees of Newscorp pretending they have integrity, the irony! Wonder what the dipper fans think of Rushton and Glendenning working for the same owners as the Sun.

    City’s New Kits

1933 cup final, 90 years this year, nice kit. City’s not Everton’s boring white one.

    2022 World Cup Discussion

I generally agree with your comments. There does seem to be a cohort of people, led by certain parts of the media who are determined not too enjoy this World Cup. Whilst I fully understand the objections to Qatar and it’s governance the actual football, apart from a couple of games, has been good.

Any past or present City player everybody seems to rate but you don't

Richard Dunne for me. Yes he made some decent last ditch tackles but only because he had usually made a mistake before and needed to scramble to make up for it. All those own goals too.

Champions League Final | Where are you watching?

Was going to go to the Crown Casino in Perth at 3:00am but an operation yesterday has probably put paid to that.

    Newcastle (A) | Post-Match Thread

Quite a lot, Spanish Dave looked to plat Sterling in behind and laid on inch perfect passes. The others you mention are great players but look to play different passes and in different areas of the pitch. Sterling, even at his best is quite one dimensional.

Isn’t Sterlings loss of form related to no longer having El Magico laying it on plate for him?

Leicester City (H) Post Match Thread

I think this is what I find irritating. Everyone knows how Leicester will play, we all know their attack is quicker than our defence yet we give them half a pitch to run into. All of the penalties came from their forwards getting in behind defenders, don’t give them the space to do that. It’s...

Coaching Negative, defensive, counter attacking football is way easier than positive, take the game on football.

    Pep's contract situation

Have to agree with all you’ve said. Last night was the first time I was really disappointed with Pep. I have to say as soon as I saw the team I thought “oh no what’s Pep done this for”. Not only the selection, formation but also looking at the players, apart from KDB none really made think “this...

    Liverpool thread 2019/20

Imagine Liverpool winning the league behind closed doors, no crowd, no parade no ticker tape. Then because all large public gatherings are banned no parade. Almost as funny as the league being cancelled.

    The turning point....

I like Mancini and don't think he got too much wrong this season. My view though is he started talking negatively around christmas time due to the fixture congestion and this seemed to pass onto the team. From that point we never seem to pick up or play with the same vigour.
