Having lived away for a bit, the amount of spaced (spiced) out homeless around the city centre was a bit of a shocker.

I agree that it seems better now than I did when I was growing up, too (albeit Salford, not Manc). Higher Broughton, where I'm currently crashing, is quiet as fuck. Not seen kids drinking outside shops since the early noughties. Still some rum places though.

Bit harsh. They were better - over both legs - than a lot of teams we've faced in the league. I think the format helps out. In a cup game, you have to try and win. Most league sides don't realise we're built to disassemble parked busses, and act all surprised when we walk off with their wheels...
