    NZ Blues (Tauranga)

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but forgive me father it has been a while since I last posted. I am ‘stuck’ in NZ owing to COVID and looking for any blues in and around the Bay of Plenty to catch up with and maybe watch games. would be good to hear from anyone (I’m not on Facebook).

    General Election June 8th

Ok, I've seen this doing the rounds today. How does it, or doesn't it hold up. My thoughts are seems heavily dependent on the fact that 2010 we were coming out of the financial crisis, and inflation would've affected it. What are your thoughts?

    Parking near/at the Etihad

It's bullshit! I drive up from Bristol and park on the Asda side of town. Another cost for me to add now to the petrol, food and ST. Think it's the death knell for my regular attendance. What do they propose I do pay for parking or park outside the zones and tram in at extra cost anyway? It's no...

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

As I s As I said, no band, but the sorry state of affairs is that the atmosphere at Portsmouth is probably better than the Etihad right now. I'm sure the 1894 lads will come through, but in my eyes, a lot of people seem to think our atmosphere is ok, when actually it's pretty poor all things...

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

As I said - it's a foundation to build an atmosphere on, not the atmosphere itself. We're not going to agree on this, I get that. I just don't see the harm in trying and would hope of it did happen it would be given a chance.

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

At no point did I advocate the flappy things, but was trying to point out that once you get a good rhythm going around the ground (however it's started) it's a lot easier to build an atmosphere from that. We start as fans, belt out a few songs in about 3 minutes and that's it for the rest of...

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

To give a bit of further perspective, Leicester had a decent atmosphere all season (for an obvious reason), but they were clapping / hitting those fan things all around the ground. Even that gave out a decent rhythm and atmosphere and gets people going. I'm clearly in the "drum in" camp, but...

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

How many times last season did we create a good atmosphere for more than 10 minutes? Maybe only the Chelsea game. The rest it was pretty flat as fuck

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

Yeah because Blackburn and Bolton had over 50k of fans in the ground trying to co-ordinate together... Great example

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

Given that no-one has actually replied to what I've suggested, I'll give my thoughts as to why. The away fans separate our two vociferous sets of fans, who often start different songs, or the same song at different tempos and differing times. A single drum beat would help sort that out and...

1894 Group - the summer and beyond

A drum is what is needed to get everyone going together at the same time, but for some reason a lot of people are against it. But, keep up the good work with the displays lads.

    Picnics

right then! We're getting into picnic season - for me I love them as I count it as a forth meal of the day. What's normally in a Bluemooners basket? For me, homemade sausage rolls, scotch eggs and cold chicken legs are a must! Ps - sorry if this is too Mumsnet, the weather has got me thinking...

    Champions League anthem PSG home

I'll still be booing until UEFA give me my money back - or city - neither of which will happen, so I'll be booing as long as we are in it

It made me feel sick when in it. I'm hoping to inherit the car when he gets a new one tho!

    Pilot Assist on Volvo

My boss at work has just got the new Tesla Model S as a company car. Somehow he can get put of the car and press a button on his phone which opens his garage door, folds in the mirrors and reverses itself into the garage. He can also program it to get itself out of the garage and de most itself...
