    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

He made a big impact with that goal, like Kevin tends to do. But Foden didn't play "good" overall in the 1st leg of the Madrid game. There has to be some nuance to a player's performance, especially for wingers/attacking midfielders. If they are bad for 90 mins, but score, did they play well...

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

The team was tired, so its not totally fair to assess his performance with everyone around him jogging.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

Saying we played worse with Alvarez isnt completelt fair as they were all very tired already. With that though, something is off in how we use him or his development. Simply "occupying the central defenders to give others space" is fine for an average tall striker, but if he is suppose to be...

Your just mad, thats okay. But you are wrong.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

I Dont even think he was good in the 1st half in the 1st leg. The goal and slightlt improved performance elevated that performance. Overall he has been mediocre against Madrid.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

We played better, but we lost. We didnt take our chances. And we suck at pens. We have 2 trophies to fight for, they need to pick themselves back up.

We are so bad on pens, never confident in us.

    Awful Bernie

    Bruno Guimaraes

    Obviously, just stating my preference.

    Eberechi Eze

Next season we will have: Grealish, Doku, Bobb and Savio as wing options, I think Bernie leaves and Savio links are very strong. Thats enough depth there. Eze is a good player.

Joao Cancelo | On loan at Barcelona

While Barca fans always point to his attacking qualities, city fans knew he had them. He was defensively a liability, we won the treble last season on a foundation of defensive fullbacks.

    Bruno Guimaraes

I think that is the main question. Paqueta seems like its happening for sure, assuming betting stuff is dealt with. But it does seem we want a 2nd midfielder, perhaps Bernie is gone. And its between Bruno G and Neves. Both very expensivd, but necessary to give Rodri rest. Id go Neves...

    Jarrad Branthwaite

Are there any world class fullbacks who are also great at defending? I think Peo wants that firstly, then everything else is a bonus on top. Maybe if someone like Frimpong was bought, they would then be used very differently, more like a wingback.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

I know we are all in for Paqueta next season. But I wouldn’t mind seeing a Rodri - Nunes partnership develop as well.

Ollie Watkins is a better player than I thought. Maybr City should go for him?

Down goes that GD, maybe we can catch it.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

I really liked seeing him in midfield with a supporting cast. Playing deeper, having the other midfielders around him slightly higher.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

I think anybody with any semblance of football recognition can see there is a good player there. Under Phillips 1st season, there was hope he could turn it around in his 2nd season, but watching him in his 1st season it was still difficult to find positives. The hope was that he was coming back...

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

It would be interesting to see if he could play that next to Rodri midfield partner role, as you said, the most important thing for that spot is keeping the ball and he does that well, and physically he is pretty strong too. But Jack would need alot of training in that role to develop that...
