Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

I got nicked at Peterborough . Spent a night in a cell with a Chelsea fan and a Utd fan from Prestwich who i hitched it home with the next day . Took around 4-5 visits to court before finally getting not guilty . Trains were a nightmare getting there . During my visits to court i even managed to...

Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

A lone blue ran on the pitch and attempted to run towards the Leeds support at the opposite end . Only to be ushered back onto the terracing by Gary Owen . Bricks , bottles and anything else Leeds could get their hands on were coming over into the compound as we exited the terracing . I was...

    Texas - Band

Saw them at the International on Anson Road back in 1989 / 90 . Their set must have lasted what seemed about half hour and were booed off . Eventually returned back on Stage and did a fantastic rendition of Sweet child of mine . Miss the International venue`s . Saw some fantastic bands at both...

Did You Go Halifax Away In the FA Cup in 1980?

I seem to remember it kicking off outside the main entrance at Shrewsbury before the game . Or it may have been after . Had a few sleeps since then !

    Best Ever Headed City Goal

Bloody hell . 50 years . Remember the celebrations when that ball hit the back of the net like it was yesterday . Stood in our usual place in the kippax above the tunnel next to the away section

Did You Go Halifax Away In the FA Cup in 1980?

Went to both . The 0-2 defeat at Shrewsbury and the 0-1 defeat at Halifax . Had some terrible away days back then . Others that stand out for me are the 0-1 at Leeds in the FA cup 5th round in 77 and the opening day 0-2 defeat at Southampton when Keegan made his debut .

City announce trial bus scheme for home games

Ok over all . My only gripe was the cost . £8 from Heald Green was a bit steep . May stick to the train when it isn`t pissing down though .
