Carvery and half a pint at the Red Lion in Swinton.

good shout that, a midweek carvery can be between £3-£4 and I reckon that's about as good of value you can get nowadays. Wayne's wine looks a good shout too.

How much is a pie in the ground nowadays BTW? I know they're really expensive and about the worse value thing you can get for less than a fiver

question, would 6 cans of German Beer at alc. 4.8% and not tasting to bad, sound expensive at £2.75? (500ml)

Someone start the car.

I get it here at that price. Seriously it's not a bad drop ice cold. It's called 'Krauzer Brau' I could probably get it for a tenner a case.

You can still buy books for under a fiver, for instance <a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0199580987/ref=asc_df_01995809878725725?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=0199580987" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0199580987/r ... 0199580987</a>

You fucker, I asked for that. ;)

hehe

My serious suggestion would be an award winning bottle of red for £3.59
<a class="postlink" href="http://money.aol.co.uk/2012/05/24/3-59-aldi-wine-thumps-30-competition/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://money.aol.co.uk/2012/05/24/3-59- ... mpetition/</a>

Thinking the same.

Wolf Blass yellow label for 4.99

5x568ml bottles = £4.95

(£2.19 a bottle in Sainsburys)
