2017/18 Champions League squad announced

Looks a decent squad that. Perhaps lacks a bit of balance in CM but hopefully that will be addressed in the coming windows.

Or if we get injuries / suspensions, can't see any reason why he wouldn't be in the squad.

Exactly. There probably aren't too many clubs with a better 4th choice CB. I'm more worried about our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice CBs than one who isn't likely to play much.

So, with potential arrival of Sanchez imminent (Hopefully/Maybe/Fingers Crossed), I have been looking at the squads & ensuring we have the room.

From a PL point of view we are fine, we have only 14 Foreign players registered in the squad (Sane, Jesus, Zinchenko, Muric, Diaz all count as U21 players for PL purposes) & 4 HG players

From a CL point of view it's different. We have the maximum 17 Foreign places already taken (Sane, Jesus & Muric have to be named in the A squad, Zinchenko was the one to miss out as he didn't qualify for the B list), we also have 4 HG players (all association trained, we have no Club trained players)

So If/When Sanchez arrives, we have to make room for him in the CL Squad (he is eligible to play despite Arsenal being the in the Europa).

The 3 Options are probably

Drop Jesus out if Injury is a serious as reported
Drop Mendy Out (Do we know when back?) (or do we put Zinchenko in for Mendy & use one of the other options for Sanchez)
Drop Muric, use Grimshaw as the 3rd choice GK as he is on the B List (This seems the best option as a chance Mnedy & Jesus will back at the back end of the season)
