2017 Summer Transfer Window (Confirmed transfers)

Middlesborough with arguably the worst signing so far:

Middlesborough sign Ashley Fletcher from West Ham United for £6.5m.

West Ham signed him on a free last year and in that time he has played in 20 games for West Ham and scored 1 goal in the league cup. Add to that Boro have already spent £24m on 2 strikers!

Ex rag... Must be world class surely? :-)

Three year contract, thats short.

When you consider that he's a very limited footballer that only works in a top team under Mourinho's ultra negative setup it's quite astute really. Mourinho won't last 3 more years there so the minute he packs his bags, half of their squad is going to need showing the door too if they have any chance of competing. Better than being lumbered with a very expensive version of Sam Allardyce's Bolton long after Mourinho has gone.

I was going along with this until it sunk in that you'd said someone at the rags was being astute :-)

Couple of the bigger transfers from the last few days that I missed:

Inter Milan sign Matias Vecino from Fiorentina for £21.0m.

Zenit sign Emanuel Mammana from Olympique Lyon for £13.6m.

Sevilla sign Simon Kjaer from Fenerbahce for £10.6m.

AS Monaco sign Adama Diakhaby for £8.5m.

Update the rest of the OP with the smaller transfers.

Brighton & Hove Albion sign Davy Propper from PSV Eindhoven for a club record fee of £6.0m.
