8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

We've looked ropey in every game where he's gone with 4 attackers behind haaland and left Rodri alone.

We haven't won a single big game all season when doing it, I don't think it's an unfair claim.
Completely agree, we've looked imbalanced in a lot of games, when we pick the extra attacking player. A case of too many cooks.

Friendly reminder Kova started with Rodri home vs Arsenal and we looked terrible until he was subbed off.

Kova started with Rodri vs Real away just two weeks ago and was at big fault for 2 of 3 goals Real scored on that night.

We just simply did very badly in all big games (except Derby) all the season. Kova started in a fairly share of those games and he did not play well in any of those.

So far Kova in the "big games" Horror show vs Arsenal away and home. Villa away. Chelsea home and away (as a sub). Real away. Missing a pen vs Real. Some came with Rodri some without.

The only three "big games" we won this season are 2 vs Utd and 1 FA cup final. Kova did not start any of them.

So why do people jump into the conclusion that Kova should be the answer for our big games after beating a terribly out of form Brighton who has not won a single match in weeks and currently sitting in the lower half of the table?

Don't agree with all your points but do admire your confidence. Wonderfully bullish.
