A few quick thoughts

1) It's going to take a few years to turn City round - there will be no quick fix. We have been comfortable being losers for too long to turn it round over night. We are talking about our club - a club that hasn't been to a semi final of a cup (ZDS excluded!) for 27 years.
2) Hughes has got a problem with the Brazillians and it's causing unrest. I personally wouldn't be too upset to see the back of all of them. Yes Robinho is good but he hasn't played well in one away game yet and having him means we can't get away with playing two up front. You can see the comparisons with when Kinkladze was about in the lack of balance in the team and the focus on one player.
3) Hughes needs time but he won't get it. There is no quick fix though. Chelsea were way ahead of where we were when Abramovich arrived.
4) We should get rid of Elano ASAP. He gives the ball away so much it's untrue. Did well at the start, nowt since. A prancing primadonna who thinks he is better than he is.
5) We desparately need a new keeper (Hart doesn't command his area enough yet), centre back, left back, defensive midfield, left midfielder, attacking midfielder and two centre forwards. Other than that we are alright.
6) Losing is a hard habit to break and one we are very good at maintaining. Our record in the Premiership in 2008 calendar year is abysmal.
7) Anyone who thinks players will be queuing up to join us in January, money or not, is deluding themselves.
8) At Christmas, the league table doesn't lie.

Happy days! It was ever thus though with City. If we were in it for trophies we'd all have f*cked off years ago.

We have to give Hughes a season at least. Changing managers all the time just doesn't work - as we have proved over the years.

1) Thomas Cook trophy final we've been in for ages!
2) I'd rather we got rid of MH, protecting our £32.5 million investment ahead of him.
3) Agreed.
4) Agreed apart from the last sentence.
5) Agreed. It won't take much doing either - I'd give it three of four transfer windows and then time for them all to gel and settle in. Like you said there is no quick fix. I'd expect us to be quite a decent side by 2012/2013.
6) Are you Robinho with your winning mentality? :p
7) Your view but they'll be mercenaries, they'll be those sold the project by the owners etc. It's all there to be done but whether or not they fancy it is up to them.
8) It's a league table. How can it tell lies?

So apart from effectively a brand new team 'we are alright'

Good to know :)

80% pass success rate, marginally better than Ireland.

Don't forget the world class manager we need as well Bob and while we are at it , do we have the right group of owners who understand what is required to make our club successful over a long period of time ( LOL ) and the name change to the United City of Manchester City who wear lemon shirts at home.

If it wasn't so funny you would cry.

Is that right? It must just seem like he gives it away more than most then!
