A fitting tribute to the three legends

One of the highlights of today, and there were many, was that three of the most important players in City’s modern history all scored and consequently their names will forever be entwined in the annals of football history.

Kompany, the perfect leader both on and off the field has never let his numerous injury problems stop him and his goal today was a fitting reward for an inspirational skipper who has overcome adversity and perfectly represents the club every fan dreams of supporting.

Aguero without question Citys greatest ever centre forward, and closing in on 200 goals, once again swung a major trophy in our direction and reminded every one how fortunate we are to have such an instinctive goalscorer.

And finally Silva, the little magician who has painted beautiful patterns on football pitches up and down the country ever since he arrived in 2010. A wonderfully gifted player who deserves to register a goal on the biggest of occasions particularly in a season which has been so difficult for the magician.

Thanks to all three of you, true City legends.

What a fabulous three to score the goals that win us the cup.

Vinny certainly seemed to shed a tear after the goal and so did I
 
You only need to look at the way the 3 of them celebrated to see how much it means to them.
They’ve been the spine of the team for years now and it will be a sad day when they leave us.
I do think Kompany will stay with the club in some role or other though.

And after all the knobs on here who were not just writing him off (which is an opinion, albeit a pessimistic and weird one) - but actually wanting us to sack him off and not give him more chances to prove himself. Which would have been of no benefit to anyone.

Anyway, St. Vincent forgives you all you sinners. As long as you repent :-)
