A fitting tribute to the three legends

These three and put Yaya in to but lets not forget Zaba, those 5 are probably the foundation of whats to come.

One of the highlights of today, and there were many, was that three of the most important players in City’s modern history all scored and consequently their names will forever be entwined in the annals of football history.

Kompany, the perfect leader both on and off the field has never let his numerous injury problems stop him and his goal today was a fitting reward for an inspirational skipper who has overcome adversity and perfectly represents the club every fan dreams of supporting.

Aguero without question Citys greatest ever centre forward, and closing in on 200 goals, once again swung a major trophy in our direction and reminded every one how fortunate we are to have such an instinctive goalscorer.

And finally Silva, the little magician who has painted beautiful patterns on football pitches up and down the country ever since he arrived in 2010. A wonderfully gifted player who deserves to register a goal on the biggest of occasions particularly in a season which has been so difficult for the magician.

Thanks to all three of you, true City legends.
Perfect post

Great post and couldn't sum it up any better.

Just arrived back an hour ago and watching on TV what a great finish from all 3 of them in different ways but as the poster said very fitting and love the fact they all scored!

MOM was spot on too

A quote from a song we all know so well: “..maybe in another generation, when other lads have come to take our place...”
Bloody hell. How good are they going to have to be? Since beating Newcastle 2 nil to wrap up the title in 2012, damn you for not rolling over QPR have I ever felt so emotional after a game. If you’d looked for the dream game yesterday it would have been these three to score and Phil Foden to get the fourth with a Tueart style overhead kick, oh well you can’t have everything can you?!

Great post mate. Three living legends did the damage. They can now immortalise themselves by winning the Champions League.

When you think that Sergio apart (wasn't here in 2011), the others have been involved in everyone of our successful sides since the take over, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, and have all played in every final, it would be amazing if they could get us to, and win the CL this year.

Whilst those 3 have been here so long, Bravo, Walker (his first), Danilo, Bernardo Silva, Gundogan, De Bruyne (not sure if he has one), Sane (his first), Jesus, Foden, Stones (his first), Laporte, Ederson (his first I think), and Zinchenko (his first ?) all won their first medals at City yesterday, and I assume Delph will also be eligible for a medal.

Its a very bright future we have.
