If Huddersfield go up I think they'll pay good money for him if we don't want him. The fans certainly want him to stay.

Not so sure about that. Their record transfer to date has been 1.8mil...

But they'll have a wad of cash from the new TV deal, they'd certainly be able to afford him.

That'll change pretty quickly if they get promoted. Clubs in the Premier League are absolutely rich compared to clubs in the Championship. Even Bournemouth have more money for transfers than Newcastle at the moment.

He'll cost them £10mil tops. Considering what Bournemouth paid for Jordan Ibe I'm sure they can afford it. And with how crucial he's been for them this year, I doubt Wagner will fancy taking on the relegation scrap without him in their team.

Bournemouth would be a more likely destination IMO. The will need to replace Wilshere, and they could offer us £15m or so.

Please, please , please ... never mind all this transfer talk.
He is a big upgrade on Delph and Fernando , get him into our squad with a huge upgrade on his current team mates... and watch him go.

Delph yes, Fernando no. That's like saying Sané is an upgrade on Iheanacho. Different positions, different jobs. Mooy plays deep at Huddersfield but not too defensive. Fernando won't get you 20 assists a season, but ask Mooy to mark Ozil for a game and you will lose.

But the level we're aiming at isn't Delph or Fernando, is it? If we end up selling those, why get in Mooy when we could get someone much better.

Besides, maybe he doesn't want to be the new Delph? Maybe at 26 he'd prefer to just play every week for Bournemouth rather than once every 6 weeks for us.

He can replace Delph or Clichy as an association trained player because of his time at Bolton. There's an incentive for the club to keep him if he's told to play for his chances.
