Does anybody remember this bunch of lunatics? Saw them many times during the late 70's/early 80's. Funny as fcuk. Just read C.P. Lee, their co-lead singer's book, 'When We Were Thin'. Which tells the story of the band, and where, they all are now. A fantastic read for anyone who like the 'Berts.

am also of age to recall
loved em the Mirror called em the enemy within once because one of their oh so cute lp covers contained vulgarity!

remember snuff rock etc

cp lee now a social historian
bruce owns a very succesful lighting and rigging company

Doesn't Bruce also play in Durriti Column?
Know CP Lee is in The Salford Sheiks now too, along with Simon White, the 'Berts guitarist. Not seen them yet though.
Loved the Snuff Rock ep. 'Kill' and 'Gobbin On Life' were great.
In about 81/82, used to see them every Mon or Tue at The Band On The Wall. Always had me in tears laughing. As much with their banter between themselves and the audience as their songs.
Buy the book!

Absolutely mental band.
Snuff rock ep was a classic.
Saw them live once.....great stuff
