So, we're getting neither Mbappe nor Dembele. If we're still planning to make an attacking 'marquee signing' next summer, the only obvious and equal alternative that I can see (bar Alexis) is Griezmann - the hybrid forward that fits Guardiola like a glove. Does anyone know his situation, is he Utd bound? They seemed pretty confident about his signing before AtMd got the transfer ban.

If Pulisic has a good year for Dortmund could see him being a high price next year.

Pulisic is going to be worth an insane amount. Any team that signs him guarantees a huge amount of American supporters, which everyone seems to be coveting these days on pre-season tours.

Then he has to play every week, or stats will 'prove' the manager is wrong.

Some of the crosses we put in would suit a guy like Auba, least try win some of the high balls in. Scoring for fun atm in Bundesliga.

Can't argue with that. He looks like the perfect player for us. I could see him scoring plenty of goals. My only concern is his age, considering how reliant he is on his pace. But if he can give us three good seasons then he'd be worth his price tag.

My perfect end to the transfer window would see us bring in Sanchez and Aubameyang. I'm not convinced that we need another left-back and I'd be more than happy to keep Mangala if we could bring in those two.

After the first three games I'm not convinced that Sanchez alone will be enough. We need to improve significantly up front.

Edin Dzeko, but I am sure Roma will ask for minimum of 60 million for him.

We can't just keep stockpiling attacking players because the ones we have aren't scoring.

Sanchez is the exception because he can play across the front line, has prem experience and we weaken another team.

Jesus getting a goal today was very important, I dont think we have any concern with Aguero.

What we need is some goals from elsewhere, midfielders really need to step it up and I include Bernardo, KDB, Silva, Fernandinho, Gundogan and Toure in that. Sane and Sterling grabbing a combined 15-20 will be important also.

Stockpiling attackers? We have one young striker with lots of potential, but not yet a complete player, and another that needs 20 clear chances before scoring. We used to have 4 strikers. We've sold Iheanacho and Bony is on his way out. Sergio's chance conversion last season fell far short of the other top strikers in the league, despite most of his chances being from a closer range. This season looks like more of the same. So yes, I'd say that we definitely need another striker.
