Ante Coric

The scouts wanted to know how well he sits? Is that part of the new Pep attention to every detail mantra? Sure he doesn't want a player on the bench goofing around like Micah and Jo Lo used to do back in the day :-)

Never seen him play, but from the clips on youtube he looks like he has something. I know you cannot judge off youtube, but he does look as though he has an exquisite touch and brilliant ball control. Looks like he can play with either foot, dribble and has a PROPER football brain. If Pep thinks he is good enough, bring him in.

I think sometimes, you can watch a player for 5-10 mins to know if they have something about them, have a good feeling about this kid, looks like a Modric type of player. Would much rather take a punt on a player of this style than a player like Amadou Diawara who looks like he relies more on physical power than his technical abilities.

It is all about the brain of a player for me. That is the key.

Is this lad ahead of our youngsters? Would like to think Garcias would be given a chance along with Bryan.

The Citizens were alerted to the highly-rated 19-year-old by incoming boss Pep Gaurdiola, who first attempted to sign the youngster for Bayern Munich two seasons ago. Coric, who is likened in style to his compatriot Luka Modric, spent four years at Red Bull Salzburg before returning to his Zagreb birthplace for £700,000 back in 2013. It's understood City had representatives in Zagreb last weekend, although the player has sat out the last couple of games. Talks have been ongoing for about a month, and City are hopeful they can come to an agreement with Dinamo, who already rate the Croatian under-21 starlet at around £3.5million. Coric has scored four goals in 14 appearances this season and is also believed to be interesting both of the Milan clubs.
