I'm sure Farage, Gove and Johnson had a plan before the vote. Or were they too busy painting lies on busses?

In an attempt to show a united front I see that Spreadsheet and Foxy are having a debate amongst themselves about a 'honeymoon' transition period that will keep all of the benefits of free trade for the UK and none of the obligations that go with it.
Yeah, right - a transition period that would be better than the final deal. The EU really are going to agree to this extension of time while we sort ourselves out. Any extension requires unanimity amongst the EU members.
Not going to happen. EU ,insofar as they are agreeable to any extension, will simply require that rights and obligations remain the same during this period.
And why not? That's not unreasonable. And if we're not happy then leave , March 2019.

It beggars belief how so many leavers still cling to the idea that we will dictate the pace and the terms of our exit. The tussle within cabinet is symptomatic of the dysfunctional state of this Tory government, but even Hammond, the most rational cabinet minister in this collection of fantasists, is living in a dream world if he thinks that the terms of the transitional phase of Brexit, assuming the remaining 27 grant one, will be dictated in Whitehall.

We will have to accept whatever the 27 are willing to offer, there is no other plausible scenario.

We're the tragedians. It's the Brexiters who think it's funny. Which I guess is what you meant. Sort of. Bit like the black knight - funny but without a leg to stand on.
