AS Monaco

Amazing squad, which will be raided come summer. Prices are far flung even though the squad is young.

Kylian Mbappe & Bernardo Silva were class, few other are worth looking at.

Great game for football, besides a piss poor referee.

I can see you are a very proud and excited Frenchman(he looks to have a bright future as I said) but you must understand that you sound like every Brazilian that talks about Gabriel Jesus.

(I already said that I love Gabriel, but if you know both of them, you pick Mbappe over Jesus every day. Why do you think City put 40M€ on the table for a 10 appareance in pro- 16years old kid? And why do you think monaco said no?)

Back in the days, i wasn't excited about Thierry Henry. I know Mbappe and follow him since he is 14. If you got two eyes, you know that he will be the best striker of the world really, really quickly.

For the rest, he won't leave this summer, and he's right to do it. He want to take his time, already made his career plan and nothing will bring him out of it.
It's Henry, Trezeguet at their age, but stronger, and a 40YO brain in the same body.

You're also telling that Sané and sterling torn Monaco appart, wich is really true, i never said he didn't and the kid is something, but Kyllian just making look one of the best bpl team, under "the best manager of the world (nop)", absolutely without any answer to stop him ;) He turned 18 a month and a half ago, and was his first C1 game as a starter.

Keep that post in mind, read him in 5 years. ;)

And IDK why all of u guys think Monaco will sell a lot this summer. They got absolutely no reason to do it, except if the players want to leave, but no one want to for the moment.

Ok he had a good game but you need to calm down he scored a goal against a back two who made that goal far too easy but he wasn't your best player on the night, also it's pointless comparing South American price tags to European ones(remember Sané and Sterlings fees).

You are right we will see(nothing is guaranteed for either of them really) I have no national pride riding on this but I really think Jesus will end up the better player he's only 19 himself(and achieved a lot already) Mbappé looks to have the edge in his physical stature but all I can say is Messi to that.

Falcao is an exceptional player, i remember being truly pissed off when he signed for the Rags but fortunatley his injury meant that he never realised his potential with them.

I would love to see him in a City shirt but it will never happen now,

Watching almost every of his game for 3 years now, iI didn't even judge him on his game vs City.
Gabriel "is only 19" (turning to 20 in one or two months if I remember right) and is not as good as Mbappe, wich was 17 two months ago. And when you see how gabi improoved in two years 'I saw his game with U20 brazil)... It's almost scary to think how good Mbappe can become.

You dont know him only cause he is in a French team, but if he were in any BPL team, would have been one article/day on him. Just take a look at every old players, coachs, players that know him, you'll find NO ONE with doubts about him.

Every specialist say he's the new Thierry Henry, but Henry wasn't that good at 20 than Kylian is right now. And Henry had a bad attitude back in the days at Monaco, when kylian speak like he's 40 YO. He will make his own name sooner that we all think, myself include.

And for the 40 Million bid of this summer, i'm not comparing to anything cause there is nothing to compare to. You guys put 40M€ on the table for a guy with under 600minutes as professionnal, and Guardiola asked that. And we declined.

I'm open with every opinion about anyhing, but it looks like you're judging a player that you saw a lot (Gabi) and a player that you didn't know the name last week, so of course, you got a biaised vision.

Anyway, if he end up with a blue shirt, it'll take 3 games to you to see that this kid is the next big, big thing without injuries.

Have you watched Jesus as much as Mbappe?

If so then I will trust what you say but if not then I think what you are getting for yourself here (and this is for both parties, those in the Jesus camp and those in the Mbappe) is a bias towards Mbappe. You have seen his brilliance and only portions of Jesus ability. It's the same for those who have watched only Jesus.

Both are exceptional players with fantastic futures. I would love to have Mbappe but am satisfied that we have Jesus. Would love to have both though.

Good post,interesting points.

I knew him way before he was even linked to City. ;)
And Of Course you can be glad to have Jesus, he's a fantastic young talent.
But I don't like to except too much of a young player, there is so much things who can destroy their career...

But not only Mbappe start with a skill-set and level way way above what we're used to see, but mentally, he already got everything. He don't even know how much there is on his bank account, he totally don't care and let his parents deal with this.
Madrid just showed more interrest according to Marca. Will be tough for him to say no since it's his dream and Zidane is the actual manager. Tho he already said no when he was younger, so..
He recently said he won't moove this summer anyway, he want to be in the starting 11 first and write his name in the story of Monaco before leaving, insteaddo it early and take the risk to kill his career, but maybe Monaco will sell him with the hudges incoming amount.

It'll be a stressfull summer for us :D

I don't know about Mbappe, all his highlights are nothing special. Dribbles and turns but getting the ball tangled under his feet which reminds me of a certain most expensive player. There was one headed goal which showed he's got a footballing brain to place the ball the opposite side but other than this and his crosses which our other players are capable of, I'm not sold yet.

We've got Jesus, Sané, and sterling and we will have to find an Aguero replacement in 2-3 years. Would give us another year or two to find a phenomenal player. Or if Kelechi bothers improving on his whole game we already have one.
