Just wondering what people think of the Saudi Arabia team ignoring the minute silence for the London bomb victims?

Bit shit I thought

Yes very shit but our government will say nothing and send them another jet fighter.

disgraceful.
can appreciate that doing the stand together in silence isn't the Saudi way, but the overriding way is to respect the culture of your hosts.

don't forget the oil

Tradition has nothing to do with it really, pretty scummy thing to do. All you have to do is stand side by side and be quiet for a minute.

Even if it's not meant to be, it looks like a deliberate act of disrespect, which considering the general cultural tension at the moment is unhelpful.

I'd understand a bit more if Australians hadn't been killed, but the fact it was specifically relevant to the country they were in and facing, it's just the decent thing to do.

and we'll keep selling weapons and buying his oil (to finance Isis) as if anything happened, this world sucks

Don't remember us doing a minute silence for the suicide bombing in kabul . Leave mourning to the professionals in Klanfield
