Away fans in home end again

I went to the away Celtic CL match last year. I registered with Celtic and bought a ticket. I have been to Newcastle in the home end and will do so again this season. My daughter lives in Tynemouth and can get tickets without any problems.

Back in the sixties and seventies, I followed City throughout the country before the days of segregation. As long as you steered clear of places like the Stratford End at Old Trafford and the Kop at Liverpool there were no real problems. I appreciate that things went horribly wrong later that led to segregation being introduced.

I tend to think that strict segregation causes as many problems as it solves. It will never be totally effective so get over it.

Remrmber when we beat the rags 5-1 they had loads of tickets for the North Stand and it kicked of big time .No one who was there thought it ok for away fans to be in the End allocated to City.A few months ago United and Liverpool fans were jailed after Liverpool fans started bigging it up in a United section at the swamp and it kicked off .Away fans have there own end for a reason .

I remember that scouse/rag incident and thinking how stupid the scousers were. To be honest they were fortunate no one was thrown off! Just reading about the punishments. Pretty severe.

People do get carried away at football. It's very tribal. Got to be careful what you get involved in though reading that. That bloke who was 55 and his daughter was pulling him back should really know better. Those coming from different tiers to get involved deserve what they got.

Needless to say the scousers had a whip round for the five!

Have you never been in the home ends watching City, been to quite a few , I know away stands are there for a reason but what if it's sold out and you want to go, also a good while ago Luton banned away supporters, so there was no away end , but 3 of us got in , and quite a few other Blues were dotted around the ground, it was a great day The Luton fans were ok with us .
Been to old Trafford , Leeds, Chelsea, Blackburn, arsenal, Stoke to name a few.
The only places I've had problems are old Trafford, Stoke and arsenal but that was my fault when you are young and beered up you don't give a shit, but now I'm older you learn to keep quiet,

Been to loads including Liverpool Swamp Leeds Arsenal.Blackburn Leicster Coventry..Police sussed us at Leicster and Coventry and stuck us in with the City lads you are right few beers back in the day you didnt give a shit .things have changed now though .Liverpool fans started singing in the United bit and it kicked of .got 10 month .Celtic fans giving it the big i am in the Etihad could have caused big problem.if an away fan sat next to me i wouldnt give a shit but we talking a new breed of fans now.

I was in the away end, Stretford paddock at the swamp when Brightwell scored the screamer to equalise. The place erupted, there were at least a 100 blues in there that afternoon. Apart from insults and a bit of pushing and shoving nothing major happened.
I remember when they infiltrated the Kippax when they beat us 3-0 at Maine Rd. They came in on the right hand side towards the North Stand. Plenty of fisticuffs then.
