Balance Sheet

  1. Agree and that IMO is the purpose of the academy. It will be an absolute bonus if a couple of players make it to the very top and join the first team. Sell ten kids at 5m apiece not rocket science is it.

We've lost money on Nolito and will probably lose some if we sell Mangala but we could report a profit on sales of £60m this financial year. With a decent CL run we could easily report net profit around or even over £100m next June.

None of those 3 are academy players.

The masses of indignant fans of the cartel clubs (and Jürgen Klopp) will not be able to understand how this can be, so if we report such a profit for this year their calls of FFP foul play will increase, LOL.

There will also have to be amortisation of Debruyne, Sterling, Stones, Mangala, Otamendi, Gundogan etc etc.
Not to mention the write down of Nolito, & possibly Bony, Mangala and Nasri (though he's probably not that much now having had his contract extended)

So do I actually, I think it is quite unclear what the club and Pep wants though so we will have to see.
