Bands that sound a lot like other bands

I’ve absolutely no idea who The High and One Summer are, but just wanted to say that The Field Mice is one band I never thought I would hear anyone mention!

I always thought The Field Mice sounded similar to the Go-Betweens. Remember saying that over 20 years ago to someone in the halls of residence but i was promptly told I was wrong.

Pavement are so bad, they could not sound like The Fall if they tried.

I always thought Pavement took tried to make themselves a combination of The Pixies, Sonic Youth and Sebadoh. Three much better bands.

Not to mention being comped with Superchunk and Archers of Loaf, two more much better bands.

Always thought Pavement was on par with Radiohead as being among the most overrated bands ever.

Bands with no instinct for a hook are pointless, unless they are actually The Fall.

Ah but Elton John never described Kingdom Come (who I liked) as the "the best rock 'n' roll I've heard in 20 fucking years!". He personally invited them to play at his Oscars party this week.
