Best Guitar Solos

That's a strange list and strange choices of songs by some bands (Lizzy, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Purple etc)

Freebird my personal favourite is outside the top 25 and no Rush in sight......

Joe Bonamasa 'mountain time' And ' just got paid' And 'Slow Gin' from live at the Albert Hall. Also plays alongside and blows away Eric Clapton in same gig.
Also try Steve Lukther on 'while my guitar gently weeps' from the Toto live 25th anniversary tour from Amsterdam.
I haven't even mentioned various tracks by Steven Wilson from his Raven that refused to sing album (Drive Home) or Hand cannot erase album (Regret 9 and Happy returns).... magical and evocative.

Anything by Tom Morello for me, my favourite guitar player.

William Patrick Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins. The only shredder I can stand listening to.

Others like Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer and BB King.

Specific songs would be Bulls on Parade and Killing in the Name by RATM, School by Nirvana, Layla by Slow Hands, and Hotel California by the Eagles. I can't stand shred heavy songs.

Some of Tom Morello's best work

Solo at 2:58 (technically a guitar pedal solo)

Solo ate 2:33 (technically a string scratching technique)

Just the solo with one of his few other bands SSSC (mostly shred)

Absolutely the best guitar player that I have seen a few times live and one of the best sounding guitar bar Led Zeppelin (which Tom gets part of his influence from). Will post more work from other guitarists after the match later.
