Bike Track Sprints: Amazing and bizarre

I had just put this on the old board before we moved. Anyone who hasn't seen one of these take a look. From 4:40 to finish.....unbelievable. Anyone know if this is an olympic event? can't wait to see it.

They are bloody crazy. I absolutly shit myself in the velodrome in manchester when riding on there. I do quite a bit of cycling but I can never bring myself to go to speeds like that. The power they have in their legs is immense.

I've thought about getting a track bike and going to a velodrome but some of the wrecks I've seen on youtube are horrific. I love the strategy in the match sprints, it definitely adds a level of complexity to it. Awesome.
