Cameron can't lose with this move from BoJo.
Boris comes in as an MP and picks up a lot of votes for the Tories across the country whilst he's at it.
If Cameron doesn't win a working majority at the next election he's toast regardless of Boris and what he does.
If Cameron does win a working majority then he will remain as the PM.
No downside for Cameron in this. None at all.
