Hi, thanks for info, would you mind sending me what details you have, the only timetable i could find had last train leaving Gladbach at 10.10pm. CheersWill be on train...train runs back from gladbach to cologne after the match

could well be ..... there were a few other pubs off on the side streets
maybe they will open this time

Hi, are you still aiming for the 23.40 train, any contingency plans if kept in for an age after the match?
The last time buses were waiting outside and police escort straight to the train station and a train waiting for us. Can't see it being any different this time . Don't remember being kept in long either. If you do miss a train a taxi would be about €80. But don't see it being an issue as the authorities will know many city fans will be staying in Dusseldorf and won't want us hanging about. Just checked the train is 23.54. So no problem getting there on time. Also there's a train at 00.54. I didn't do this fixture last year but going this time round. Flying to Dusseldorf and I know Duss is only a short train ride away from Gladbach itself but I've stayed in Dusseldorf previously for our games against Schalke and Dortmund so fancy a bit of a change and looking at staying in Gladbach instead.
I can see that there aren't many options for hotels but more importantly I could do with knowing the situation regarding watering holes. Question for those that went last year is what was it like getting a drink in the town centre afterwards - do any of the pubs and bars stay open until the early hours? I don't want to stay somewhere that shuts down by midnight and you can't get a pint anywhere - fuck that! Pretty sure that a few on here said there were a couple of places that stayed open late and it was a good craic but could do with knowing for sure.
Not sure of interest but due to a family issue we have two twin rooms spare in a decent hotel for Tues/Wed night 100yds from Gladbach station. Looking to off load them on the cheap. Anyone interested please give me a shout.
