Was reading across an article posted on ESPN US and found a quite interesting stat concerning Darius Vassell...

I've never slagged off Vassell but if this is true i might have to convert to slagging!

<a class="postlink" href="http://proxy.espn.go.com/et/corr/corrview?id=382&leagueCup=eng.1&cc=5739&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab5pos2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://proxy.espn.go.com/et/corr/corrvi ... d=tab5pos2</a>

So lets put this in simple numbers that Mr. Hughes can understand. Since the start of last season City have played 54 league games. In games that Darius Vassell has started, City have won just 6. No that's not a misprint, 6. Overall Vassell has started in 26 league games. City have won 6, drawn 10 and lost 10. Compare this with games where Vassell has not started where City have won 14, drawn 3 and lost 11. Quite simply put Vassell turns victories into draws.

You can never slag Vas for his effort, but he doesn't offer anything when he's on the ball going forward. It's like his brain doesn't know what his feet are about to do. Some players are anoying in the fact that they have the ability but just don't look interested. Some of the so called samba stars wouldn't do themselves any harm looking at the way Vas puts it in on the field. Hughes needs to realise that Vas is just not good enough any more, we are strugling with injurys at the moment but hopefully after January that will all be sorted.
