The problem with the Hooli books and films is that tw@t teens think that the hooli scene was a glorious event that changed the face of footy and try to re-enact the feeling, why some of these idiots even try and compare their feelings with those that fought in the great war.
I suppose that in their own way they have changed the face of football, the have removed the terraces, they have removed competition from our game, they have increased the price of attending a game, they have removed a generation or two from watching the game and they have removed the game from its roots.

Cass Pennant was one of the first group of "hoolies" to be jailed for their saturday afternoon antics!. I won't say what he did/wrote about is /was the way to do things but he grew up at a time when that sort of behaviour was the norm all over the country. He was shrewd enough to make some money out of his notoriety. There are plenty around City who have tried, some with some success to do the same thing. Good luck to him.
By the way, I once saw Cass Pennant legging it up towards the RNCM after a cup game at Maine Rd, he was easily identifiable even then.......there were about 20 City fans going to give him a serious kicking had they caught him.........bet that' episode isn't featured in any of his books eh?
