Whether the club needs or wants to sell has no baring on whether the player will leave, it will just push the price up a bit and drag it out longer. Was it Templeton and Black who left Hearts for Rangers when the former were in the SPL and Rangers had just been relegated to the village league! Players in Scotland want to play for the Old firm, regardless.
 
Think that may have been the case in the past not so sure it's still the same.as it stands Celtic hearts and Aberdeen have European football.of course if rangers win Scottish cup then they also have the europa carrot to wave at potential targets.

Celtic are only ones with champs league chance but not many Aberdeen players have moved to old firm n think the example of hearts players left cause they knew they would get paid.

Think there's a hearts fan on here who could verify but forget his username to tag him.
 
It's a bit of a tragedy what a lack of TV revenue has done to Scottish clubs chances of competing in Europe,but fair do's to the fans,Scotland is consistently one of the best supported leagues in world football on a population ratio.
In a strange quirk tho the lack of revenue has resulted in many clubs adjusting their finances accordingly and ending up on a sound financial footing,albeit a footing that leaves them unable to compete at even Europa level.
 
He would be walking into instant success too.ego have a price tag? Dunno his odds but a couple o quid might be worth a punt.think lennon is faves.Derek mcinnes another in frame but dont think he will leave Aberdeen x
