Dear All,

Unfortunately, due to insufficient numbers the Barcelona trip WILL NOT be going ahead. Borussia Monchengladbach will go ahead, please see details below:

Borussia Monchengladbch v Manchester City, Borussia Park, Monchengladbach, Wednesday 23rd November

One Night Stay - 3* Hotel £295pp, 4* Hotel £335pp

Itinerary

We feel a one night stay is the best option for this game. We did a day trip last year and the general feeling was that it was too much to do in one day given the tiresome coach transfer to Monchengladbach.

Depart the morning of Tuesday 22nd November the day before the game at 10:30 a.m. with a DIRECT flight into Cologne arriving 13:00 local time.

On arrival coaches will be waiting to take you to your centrally located hotel in the city of Cologne. You will have the rest of that day and night at leisure. Once again Man City are playing in Germany in the build up to Christmas, so we are delighted to confirm that the Christmas market in Cologne probably the best in Germany opens at the start of advent on the 21st November. You will therfore be able to enjoy a fantastic Christmas Market in the Centre of Cologne.

On Wednesday 23rd November breakfast is included in the morning at your hotel. At 11am on the day of the game you will check out of your hotel and we will then transfer you up to Monchengladbach. You will be able to store your bags on the buses and the rest of this day is yours to enjoy.

After the match coaches will be parked outside the away end/as close as possible to the stadium. Our reps will be on hand to guide you to the buses.

Transfer back to Cologne airport for flight back to Manchester arriving approx. 01:45

Price includes return flight, airport tax, one night hotel and coach transfers outlined above.

Price based on twin sharing. (Single room supplements 3* £30 4* £60)

Match ticket not included.

Bookings can be made now online at www.sportoptions.com or by calling 01925 755 222

We look forward to seeing you all.

Spike, Miles and the rest of the team.

Did anyone stay in Monchengladbach last year? If so would you recommend staying there or travelling back to Dusseldorf after the match?

I stayed in Monchengladbach the two nights either side of the game. Wouldn't recommend. It was nice enough, but it's only a small town, everywhere was closed by 11 (except a little Irish bar). I'd say stay in Dusseldorf, it's a piece of piss getting to and from the game from there and would be a good few days on the piss!
