Thought Chelsea were unlucky over the two legs , hit the woodwork four times and gifted Barca three goals ,and yet weve played Chelsea off the park twice this season and havent given them a sniff .Do not fear anyone of the other seven teams left in the cup , Dippers could be tough but i cannot see us having another mad ten minutes like we did at Klanfield. Real are depending on the talents of a 34 year old star who is in decline , Juventus are an aging team , Bayern will be difficult but man for man we are a better team , Roma and Seville wont get near us , we are rightly favourites but as usual in this bent competition we will be at the mercy of the officials.

A lot of people don’t seem to understand the concept of absorbing pressure. I see Chelsea getting a lot of praise for “having a go” at Barca, but how many CLEAR cut chances did they actually create? The Alonso free kick? Ter Stegen was relatively untested outside of that. Juventus did the same thing against Tottenham after taking control of that tie, yet people will say Spurs “bossed” them. Spurs only chance after Juve took the lead was from a Harry Kane header that was a yard offside.

If you’re confident in your defending and organization enough then you can concede possession, absorb pressure, and take your chances when they present themselves, especially when you’re in the drivers seat. The teams that can do this the best will make deep runs in the CL. Possession is meaningless if you aren’t ruthless enough to do something with it. The fact that Juve & Barca were able to dispatch of Spurs & Chelsea without hitting top gear is somewhat worrying.

Any of RM, Bayern, City, Barca, & Juve can win it this year, it’s pretty wide open.

Saw most of the game last night and if you take Messi out of the equation we are just as good as Barca. Messi is from a different planet and they have good players, but so do we.
