Ukraine just edging out Belgium, the Dutch have been poor in Europe in recent seasons until Ajax's run in the Europa.

Some of the people in this thread, and on this forum are a joke.
United qualified for the champions league the same way Sevilla did the last 2 seasons. Liverpool have qualified for the champions league the same way we did last season. There is no anti city ploy from uefa. No wonder we get the nickname bitters

7 teams we can get and 4 of them we should expect to finish ahead of. So, Real Madrid and Napoli then?2nd, same as United. First pot will be Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, Monaco, Benfica, Spartak Moscow and Shakhtar, so there is a solid chance for a solid group.

It's the winners and the champions of the top seven countries to be precise but as the winners will be one of the latter category come what may then it's effectively the top eight. If Barcelona & Atletico were in the final then Shakhtar wouldn't be in Pot 1.Pot 1 is reserved now for the champions of the top 8 countries in the UEFA ranking system. As the top 4 countries tend to dominate the CL and EL, the others (currently France, Russia, Portugal and Ukraine) don't have to do much more than reach a few quarter finals and the odd semi or final to boost their ranking points.
