    Its not just Liverpool and Arse, but also us and potentially either Arse or Liverpool. It's something like if we draw at Watford 3-3 and Liverpool beat Boro 2-0 then our goal difference and goal scored are the same. We would have tio play off to decide who is 3rd and who goes into the CL play off.
    Also if we lose 4-0 and Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 (or some other similar permutation) then we would also be playing off for 3rd or 4th place (depending on Liverpool's result)

    Edit - here is what the BBC say

    There could be a Sky wankest if City lose, Liverpool draw and Arsenal win with the right scores all three could play off!

    No they can't. Mansour's lambo is wrong.
    From the regs:
    Associations are represented on the following basis:
    a. one representative: winner of the top domestic championship;
    b. two representatives: winner and runner-up of the top domestic championship;
    c. three representatives: winner, runner-up and third-placed club in the top domestic championship;
    d. four representatives: winner, runner-up, third- and fourth-placed clubs in the top domestic championship.

    My bolding.

    No shite has been posted. My comment is backed up by the fact certain members of the fa were discussing a few years ago the idea of giving a champions league place to the winners of the fa cup.

    It's pretty much irrelevant as there's no chance Boro will beat the scousers

    It's backed up by nothing as it's not true. UEFA, not the FA, decide on qualification.

    It'll go down to the position where you'll find the Rags 'n Dippers - whichever is the lowest.

    Thats not true. UEFA give the 4 places to the best 4 teams in England; the top 4 in the Premier League. The winner of the FA Cup going into it was never on the table.
