Just got this out of the library after reading Birdsong (which was brilliant).
Anyone read Charlotte Gray......any good?

Not quite as good as 'Birdsong', but you are for a treat. I won't spoil it for you.

Though he did win the 'Bad Sex in Fiction' award for one passage, so be warned!
 
I can't abide Sebastian Faulks.

For all its bluster, Birdsong was essentially a bloated fictionalisation of Martin Middlebrook's The First Day on the Somme. And what was that contemporary sub-plot about?? That said, the action was well handled.
