Coming quickly after tonight but the lads managed the game well and didn’t really get out of first gear second half ... could’ve gotten tricky but didn’t so all’s good.

Surely confidence would be sky high and morale of the opposition low just watching us tonight ...

Delph still out ... Sterling close to being back? Walker anyone?

Not sure how Pep lines us up but Chelsea isn’t in the best of form ... and we’re at home!

C’mon City!!!

Anyone’s guess but mine is (guess that is) ...

Ederson
Walker - Ottamendi - Laporte - Danilo
KdB - Gundogan - Silva
Jesús - Aguero - Sane

With Sterling on bench!

You would think, surely, there has to be some rotation after playing largely the same team in both games against Arsenal. Then again, we’re playing the champions at home (also the last team to win at The Etihad) so can’t see too many changes.

Ederson

Walker
Otamendi
Laporte
Danilo

Gundogan
De Bruyne
Silva

Sane
Sterling
Aguero

We owe them a smashing after last season. (Said the sam thing about Wigan, so hopefully not a jynx).

Ederson

Walker (Zinchenko if Walker isn't fit)
Kompany
Otamendi
Danilo

Gundogan
De Bruyne
D.Silva

Sterling (B. Silva if Sterling isn't fit)
Aguero
Sane

Rotate against Basel and Stoke, then we have a 19 day break (unfortunately including internationals).

I think I’d maybe try Danilo in midfield along with Gundo. He did ok tonight but I still think we were very open at times and a team in better form would’ve liked their chances going forward with just him sitting deeper.
